Some months ago someone suggested I try painting by numbers as a way to manage my mental health issues. It was quite possibly the best suggestion anyone could have made, I’m now on my fifth picture and I have to say it’s for me, the best therapy you can have for very little money.
It focuses your mind just enough to stop it from racing away from you at high speed, you can still think but not so wildly. I guess it’s a form of mindfulness. I can recommend it to anyone with mental health problems, whether they are accompanied by addiction issues or not.
